During Spring Festival holiday, the tourist reception amount and revenue of tourism have seen an increase of Baotou. According to Baotou tourism Development Committee, from Feb 15 to 21, the city has received tourists 516.5 thousand, with a-year-on-year growth of 20.28 percent, and the tourist income hits 270 million yuan, with the growth of 25.6 percent. Colorful Chinese tradition activities like go temple fair, lantern show and ice and snow show in some of the scenic areas creates a thick festival atmosphere.

Apart from ice and snow festival, agritainment activities like strawberry picking, hot spring bath and museums are good places for people traveling.
