Tourism industry expo opens in Baotou

The first Inner Mongolia Tourism Industry Expo opened in Baotou, North China’s Inner Mongolia autonomous region, on Sept 2, according to Baotou Daily.

The expo, co-hosted by the Tourism Development Committee of Inner Mongolia autonomous region and the municipal government of Baotou, has an exhibition area measuring 37,000 square meters, with five indoor exhibition areas and one outdoor exhibition area.

Among them, Hall A is designed to highlight the best of China’s cities and provinces, with scenic spots, suggested tourism routes, and special tourism industry projects available for visitors to view.

Hall B features the very best of the region’s tourism attractions. It displays the various tourist routes and tourism brands promoted in leagues and cities across Inner Mongolia through a sand table and miniature landscape model. The exhibition has been designed with a theme of “A Taste of Inner Mongolia”.

Hall C is a tourism museum equipped with smart technologies, offering a VR panoramic tour of the region.

Hall E is a cultural museum displaying national and provincial intangible cultural heritage projects, as well as foreign exhibits.

Hall F is the Belt and Road international exhibition, displaying tourist attractions, and special tourism products from more than 20 overseas countries including Russia, Spain, Australia and France.

The outdoor exhibition area includes an outdoor creative sculpture exhibition, a golf experience area and a Mongolian yurt.

The first Inner Mongolia Tourism Industry Development Summit was held on the same day, inviting domestic industry experts and business elites to discuss the development of tourism in Inner Mongolia, and explore the path of its future development.
